Porsche recently announced a recall pertaining to defective exhaust systems equipped on Model Year 2012-2013, 911 Carrera cars. As a result of the defect, the exhaust tail pipe has the potential to separate from the rear muffler. A lose tail pipe on the roadway can present a significant safety threat to other drivers. It is unclear from the recall whether the defect is due to its design, or manufacture. The recall does not apply to 911 Carrera cars equipped with a sport exhaust.
