We all know that cars use coolant to keep the engine cool, but it may come as a surprise to learn that it can cause a dangerous fire too.
Ford recently announced that certain 2013 Ford Escape cars equipped with 1.6 liter engines are dangerously manufactured. As Ford describes it, coolant system leaks may cause the engines to overheat and leak flammable engine fluids that can ignite a fire when in contact with hot engine exhaust.
If you own one of these defective cars, contact Ford at 1 (866) 436-7332. Ford’s recall campaign number is 12S41.
